We design custom Squarespace websites for artists who are looking for an elevated online presence. All our packages offer brand-informed website design and post-launch deliverables that ensure you can mantain your new site with ease.

  • The first 3 weeks of the service is when you will gather all of your images and write out your copy. The remaining 2 weeks are where all the website designing takes place and any necessary tweaks and revisions. By the end of the 5th week, if not before, you should have an up and running website that is ready for visitors to arrive and purchase from your online shop.

  • Using our knowledge of website and e-commerce page conversion, we will create a website for you that is designed the visitor on your website and guide them to where you want them go.

    We will also optimise your website for SEO by doing things like inserting alt text and page descriptions. All the things to make your website rank higher.

  • We make sure all your artwork images and website content of your art business are safe by putting in place a contract for both you and the designer to sign. The integrity and protection of you and your art business is important to us. We promise not to share any of your work with third parties, and we won’t reveal any of the work until your website has been launched.

ONBOARDING PROCESS

  • The first step towards your perfectly crafted website is booking a call with us. In this 30 minute call we will answer any questions you have, we’ll get to understand your art and your goals and then we will share what available dates we have in the Shrub Designs calendar for you to start your website design project.

  • Once you have decided you want to work with us, send us an email to confirm your chosen package and the dates you would like to begin your project. You will then receive a contract and an invoice. Once you have signed and paid the starting fee you will lock in your dates and receive a personalised Client Package.

  • You will have at least three weeks before the locked-in Design Date to gather and put together all your website content, fewer if you wish to start the project sooner and you have content already prepared. Your project officially begins once you receive your Client Package and start preparing your content, but your Design period lasts two weeks.

THE PROCESS

  • 1. MAKE AN ENQUIRY

    Send a message via the Book A Call form to get in touch with Emelia and schedule a call. We’ll answer any questions talk about your website needs, establish your desired package and discuss a starting date for your project.

  • 2. CONFIRM PROJECT

    We hope you will want to hire us after out call! Send us an email to confirm your desire to proceed with the project. Confirm your chosen package and start time, and we’ll then send you a contract, an invoice and a Design Form which will help us get to know you better.

  • 3. COMPLETE THE DESIGN FORM

    The Design Form is an in-depth questionnaire that will help both yourself and us to understand you as an artist and the vision you have for your website better. At the end of the Design Form you will submit your availability for a follow-up Design Call where will go over your thoughts 1-to-1.

  • 4. THE DESIGN CALL

    The Design Call will 45 minutes to 1 hour. We’ll have gone through your Design Form thoroughly and will then ask any questions to further clarify our understanding of what you do and what your vision is. By the end of the call we will both be on the same page and know exactly what you need and want from us.

  • 5. RECEIVE CLIENT PACKAGE

    After the Design Call, we will create a custom Client Package for you that provides more information about the rest of the project and a complete guide on how to put together all the best content for the website. You will have until your design start date to assemble all your content, approximately 2-3 weeks.

  • 6. MOOD BOARD CREATION

    Whilst your working on Your Content, writing all your copy and gathering all your images, we’ll create a Mood Board (initial ideas) for your website to review. By the time your design start date has arrived we will have confirmed settled on a Mood Board that matches your desires and have all your content ready to begin designing.

  • 7. WEBSITE DESIGN

    Now the magic begins. You can sit back and relax and we will get hard to work on creating your beautiful and functional website for your art. This stage will take up to a week.

  • 8. REVIEW AND REVISE

    Once your website is complete we will show you a preview. We will give you two opportunities to review and request tweaks and changes to your site. After two rounds of revisions, we will present you with your ready-to-launch website.

  • 9. LAUNCH YOUR WEBSITE

    Your brand-new art website is here! You can launch it to the world and allow people to explore your art in an inspiring new way, enticing everyone from collaborators to collectors. We’ll provide you with three complimentary social media images to promote your new site, and a handover guide so you can continue to run, update and manage your site easily and effortlessly.
